Former Resident

Long review, but I hope the examples help others make an informed decision. I would not recommend this apartment complex unless significant changes are made, particularly with management and property upkeep. After living in three apartment complexes across two states during professional school and residency, this was by far our worst experience.
Cleanliness: Hallways are constantly cluttered with valet trash cans left outside apartments, and the lobby trash frequently overflows, attracting gnats and flies (photos attached).
Safety: The security gate is often broken and has remained wide open for months, sometimes held open with bungee cords (photo attached). Most streetlights throughout the property are burned out, leaving the complex poorly lit. Our car was broken into, and management acknowledged multiple similar incidents but never notified residents or shared a plan to improve security. Months later, nothing has changed. It was disappointing to see new revenue-generating amenities installed while basic safety concerns remained unresolved.
Management: Communication was inconsistent and often ignored. Emails about cleanliness, security, and requests for more notice before mandatory maintenance received no response. Maintenance notices were sometimes posted after 5 p.m. the day before entry, leaving almost no time to arrange pet care. We also had to restart our lease renewal after a staff member left without documenting previous conversations.
Maintenance: Response times were slow. Our washer stopped working and wasn’t permanently replaced for about two weeks, forcing us to use another unit’s machine. Landscaping, paint, and lighting throughout the property also show a lack of routine upkeep.
Pets: Despite advertising as pet friendly, there is very little grass, the dog park is mostly dirt, and maintenance policies are much more restrictive than other communities we’ve lived in. There are much better apartment options nearby.
