I’ve lived here for 3 years. The location and large windows are nice, but overall the building feels old with a lot of cosmetic “quick fixes” rather than real maintenance.
Most appliances are outdated. The A/C seems old, and if left running too long mine starts banging/clicking loudly. The kitchen exhaust fan is extremely loud. The washer/dryer are also old — I’ve had times where the washer leaked a lot of water onto the floor. The dishwasher is basically unreliable in my unit: it drains into the sink through a small discharge spout, but it spits out so much water that it splashes out the sides/bottom, runs over the counter, and can soak the floor unless you block it with dishrags.
There are also a lot of little wear-and-tear issues you’d expect from an older building: sliding mirrors sticking or coming off track, squeaky windows, etc. Some areas honestly feel like they were just painted over.
The windows are big and beautiful, but the security gate makes them difficult to clean, and in my entire time here I’ve never seen the complex clean them.
The “one bedroom” layout is also odd: the bedroom divider wall doesn’t go all the way up and the bedroom door doesn’t properly close or lock (at least in my apartment). That design also creates dust-collector areas (ex: above the washer/dryer and along the bedroom wall sections) that require deep cleaning.
The building manager is an alright guy, but the management company overall hasn’t been great. Also: be extremely thorough on your move-in paperwork, because if you don’t document issues early, you can end up being charged later.
