I have lived in my apartment for just over 2 years. During that time I have endured numerous plumbing disasters that have led me to have to take many days off from work and also prohibited use of one or more spaces for days at a time. I was even forced to evacuate my apartment and take up residence at a hotel due to the plumbing concerns. While staff always responded timely, there was never a long term solution offered. Simply quick fixes that kept me and my family in this constant cycle of repairs.
The location of the apartment is great in that it is central to some of the most desirable attractions that Philly has to offer and is quite walkable. The downside is that the majority of my neighbors seem to be recent college grads that are still interested in a party lifestyle. That mixed with paper thin walls, does not make for a peaceful living environment. My particular unit also has a weird address distinction that has never been handled by the property owner and thus I have had a lot of difficulty receiving packages and mail.
The unit is appointment well and has private outdoor space, but given that it is a 3bed/3bath unit, it is sorely lacking in storage space (especially in the kitchen).
I am moving away to find a better quality of life that includes more peace and quiet and neighbors who understand the concept of community.
