I have lived here for a year and just signed a new lease. I had an autopay set up for the first year and it went very well. The month we signed up for our second year the autopay did not go through. The office hours listed are not the actual office hours so going into the office isn't reliable to talk about concerns. (They also don't answer calls regularly and when I left a voicemail and sent an email I didn't get a response either.) When I went in and the staff was actually in the office they told me that yes, autopay is set up and they don't know why it didn't go through. They told me to pay through the app manually. Then on the 18th of the month they gave us a $50 dollar late fee even though we had paid on the 9th. After 30 minutes most of which was on hold, they told me that I could have left a check in the drop box and it was my responsibility to make sure it was paid. I had thought that the reason it wasn't paid at the beginning of the month was because it was Labor day and they would take it out later in the week.
My main concern was about autopay for the future and if I leave write a check in the mail box and autopay goes through then it would be a double charge totaling $4466 dollars. She said that could possibly happen and that they can't refund that money but it would roll over to the next month. (With autopay I don't trust that the money wouldn't keep coming out.)
Pros: the complex is nice and well taken care of
Cons:
-Office hours are all over the place
-Autopay doesn't reliably work and when it doesn't work they charge an extra $50 dollars even though you try to reach out to them
-They are very difficult to get ahold of by phone, email, or in person
-Concerns are quickly disregarded by staff
-It's seemingly impossible to get rid of autopay once it's set up
