We have lived at this property for seven years and have watched it steadily decline. When we moved in, this was marketed as a luxury townhome community. Today, for the amount we pay, the condition and amenities are not comparable to similar properties in Missouri or elsewhere. We travel often and consistently see far better value and upkeep at other communities.
Management has also become inconsistent. Some teams respected and valued long-term residents, but that is no longer the case. We are now being penalized over issues tied to Flex, a payment system management strongly encouraged us to use. Flex has already acknowledged the error on their side, yet we were still penalized, had fees applied, and even lost access to online payments. Being forced to pay by money order is unnecessarily inconvenient and makes no sense.
Beyond this, we have experienced multiple serious maintenance issues over the years. We went without heat in the winter and had to pay for a hotel with no reimbursement. We have gone without water for a week due to issues with a neighboring unit. In a previous unit, we dealt with structural problems, ongoing pest issues, and even bats entering through the chimney. Currently, storm damage behind our townhouse has still not been properly addressed.
Maintenance is often understaffed and slow to respond, leaving residents to handle issues themselves or find temporary solutions. The amenities also do not reflect what we are paying for. The gym is in poor condition, the grill area is not maintained, and the overall property does not reflect a luxury standard.
At $1,800 to $2,500 per month, residents should not be experiencing these conditions. After seven years, we are asking for accountability, consistent management, and meaningful improvements to both maintenance and overall property standards.
