Twelve 501 Apartment Homes

The experience here has been less than enjoyable. The staff is rude and condescending. I think they forget that not everybody here is on subsidy. The only communication given from the office is in the form of threatening letters instead of professional letters. The only rules that are enforced are ones that make the apartment complex money. All other "rules" are not enforced by the management. Such as, picking up after your dog. There are ways to enforce this rule but management feels it's perfectly acceptable to have the grounds covered in feces. The walking path and grounds around the swimming pool/dog park areas are covered in broken glass. If you walk along the back sides of all the buildings, you will see that there's mountains and mountains of trash. I witnessed office staff "picking up trash" in front of the buildings where there's hardly any. It seems like management just goes through the motions around here instead of actually doing what they're supposed to. I've stopped asking maintenance to come to my apartment because there are so many things wrong they were getting confrontational about it. I can't put my laundry into the machines and leave it to wash because somebody has been going around and opening the machines mid cycle. This has happened to me on numerous occasions. Somebody likes to spit lugies in the elevator on a regular basis. There has been a puke stain in the carpet of my hallway since I moved in in September. I have witnessed multiple drug deals being made in the parking lot of my building. There's tons of noise all the time. People leave their children unattended, allowing them to run amuck. There's a child who pulled a fire alarm a couple weeks ago in our building. There's another child who lives at the end of my hallway that constantly runs up and down the hallway screaming and yelling. I feel like I live with a bunch of animals. I definitely wouldn't tell anybody this is a good place to live.
