I've been here a few months now, and gotta say for what you pay its ok. The sound deadening in the apartment is non-existent, if you're downstairs you will hear your upstairs neighbor. The property is cute, not too big which is nice. Parking is fine. The basement is creepy, and a mess overall. If you want extra storage it's $50 a month, which in my opinion is not a good value. The basement has a huge water leak that hasn't been worked on in over 3 weeks. Like a lot of water. Without a dehumidifier down there I wouldn't even consider putting my extra things there. $50 is too much considering you're already paying $1500+ every month, it should be like $25 at the most. One pair of washer and driers, for how many tenants there should be two sets of each. The apartments themselves are cute and they did a fine job renovating them. Some of the closet doors don't close right, and the doors (closet and room) were not sanded before getting painted, so the paint will chip if you even look at it wrong. Since I've rented with essential property mgt they've gone through 2 people, now my point of contact is sierra. She's doing a good job though! Very professional. But no one tells you when recycling goes out, there is a pile pf cardboard in the basement that has been there a while. A gravestone down there??? Very creepy.
Overall I'm happy here, and will probably rent another year assuming rent doesn't go up. If rent goes up I'm moving out, I can pay a little more and get an entire house for what they are charging, mgt, please consider that. 1500 is unreasonable, I don't care how nice it is if it's not affordable for a majority of people. 1250ish would be far more appropriate, considering you're gonna eat $40 for internet, $40-80 for power, and then another $30 for misc utilities. Not to mention and extra $100 if you have a pet and get a storage unit, even for two people with good jobs its a lot.
