The Versailles Apartments

I've lived at The Versailles for 19 years. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Through the years, I've enjoyed my living experience at the Versailles and residing in the Hyde Park community.

I've been living at The Versailles Apts for almost 19 years. And I'm a satisfied resident. I have a good rapport with the staff. And Hyde Park is a convenient community to live in. I would definitely recommend The Versailles Apts as a good place to live.

I've been here 2.5 years and, if it wasn't a great location for my work, I probably wouldn't be here. I had 3 different incidents where my ceiling flooded in my first unit in the building and it took a month of talking to multiple property managers (there have been 4+ since I've been here) to finally get me moved into a new unit. I even had to fight to get free movers and ensure my rent would not go up for moving in a new unit. I also had to reapply just to live in my current unit - there was no guarantee they would save a unit for me despite having multiple plumbing issues that were not my fault. This was also after I showed pictures of mold growing in the bad plaster patch jobs and being told that it was common for that to happen. Additionally, both elevators were broken for a few months and there were not regular updates on when they would be fixed. One is still broken over half a year later and there's no update on when that will be accessible to tenants either. The building is very old and it shows that TLC has not put a lot of care in trying to update reoccurring issues - it's only patch jobs. I know landlords are what they are - good luck finding a real gem - but this has been ridiculous at times.
