The Tradition at Bridgwater

I have lived in this townhouse community for over a year. The property itself is modern, well-designed, and parking is generally not an issue. However, my experience with maintenance and property management has been disappointing. The most serious issue occurred during the winter when our heating system failed. Despite this being an emergency situation, it took several hours for the on-call maintenance staff to respond, leaving my family in a very cold home. The problem was not resolved quickly, and for several days I had to repeatedly follow up while the heating system continued to operate improperly. Communication was also poor. The maintenance technician initially did not explain the actual issue and only after multiple requests was I informed that a part had failed and needed to be ordered. During this period, we had to run the heating system excessively to keep the house warm, which resulted in significantly higher utility bills. I later provided management with a detailed comparison of my utility costs, including supporting documents, and requested compensation for the additional expenses caused by the heating issue. It has now been over two months, and I have not received a response. Another ongoing concern is the condition of the shared amenities. The recreation area is frequently left damaged and messy, equipment is broken, and some items have remained unrepaired for an extended period. Greater supervision and accountability would help maintain these facilities for residents. The property itself is nice, but maintenance response times, communication, follow-up, and upkeep of common areas need significant improvement.
