Real Estate Market Overview
There is a high demand for housing in the city of Vancouver. Foreign buyers have made up a large part of the people who are buying in the city and have contributed to the high demand and high pricesin the housing market. A 15% foreign buyer tax was implemented, in hopes of keeping the demand for properties in the city under control. The city has been ranked as having the third most unaffordable housing market in the world. Sales have been slowing down, but the city continues to be a hot housing market.

There is a francophone school board in the city as well, called Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Brittannique. In addition to elementary and secondary schools, Vancouver has a great selection of post-secondary options for students to attend. A few of these options include the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Community College and Columbia College.
Family Life
Vancouver is very welcoming for families. There are plenty of places to explore, and activities to participate in. Some of these include Watermania, which has a wave pool and water slides, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, for families who enjoy learning about space. Outdoor activities are popular in the city, with mountains, water and trails nearby. Along with these attractions, the city has many parks and gardens that make for a great day out with the kids. There are many different summer camps for children on vacation, catering to a varied range ofinterests.
