The location is superior..can walk to several banks, grocery and health food stores, along with pharmacies and great restaurants. Bus stop is right outside the building and the metro 3 blocks away. I also feel like the area is a little community of its own- you get to know the people who work in the stores and see friends on the street. Good feeling. The buidling is kept very clean and it is quiet. Rules are expected to be followed and they are which is an indisputable plus. Two elevators and one still runs even when the power is off-another yay! Heat and hot water are included in the rent. However, the indoor pool has been closed for lack of use. Indoor and outdoor parking is available at reasonable prices. (Especially when you have had a street parking ticket or two!) I have met some really terrific people who live here- friendly, kind but not invasive. Excellent privacy for a hibernator like me. The super is super...great service and she makes sure you have things fixed when needed. Also very kind and knows her tenants. I believe almost all apartments are renovated...if not, I think they are renovated once someone moves- no renovictions here. It is a family owned building and looking after their tenants is important to them...that is rare nowadays.
