My wife and I have lived at this residence for the past three years and overall we have enjoyed the neighborhood, especially the landscaping services included with the property. However, there are areas where improvement is needed.
The biggest concern has been maintenance response and follow-through, particularly with the A/C system. One condenser unit required multiple recharges within a few months, which should have indicated a larger issue. Eventually, the A/C failed during the following summer, causing indoor temperatures to reach around 90 degrees. The repair process required multiple service visits, repeated follow-up calls and emails, and there were communication issues due to incomplete service notes in the system. Service call duration was approximately three weeks. The experience was frustrating and stressful.
I would also recommend improving the renewal and transfer process for residents interested in moving to another FirstKey property. During our recent experience, communication from customer service was unclear and inconsistent, which created confusion regarding the application, move-out inspection process, and lease status. The situation was ultimately clarified by the local property manager, who explained the process much more effectively. Better training for the customer service team or greater involvement from local property representatives would greatly improve the customer experience.
