The house itself is great, and the pool is easy to keep clean — the agency sends someone to handle the chemicals, though I still do the regular cleaning myself.
The worst part: if something breaks, it takes weeks or even months to get fixed. The pool pump was down for six months. Neighbors were complaining about the noise, and the pool turned a gross green. The rent here is high because the pool is a great feature — but it's pointless if you can't swim in it.
The AC has issues too. It's undersized for the home, so during the hot months it runs nonstop just to maintain 84 degrees inside. It went out my first summer here, and they scheduled someone to fix it TWO MONTHS later. Fast forward to this year: the AC goes out again, same situation — weeks before anyone could come out. In the middle of dead summer, with no AC. I ended up paying a handyman out of pocket to come fix it that same night so my family could be comfortable — which is what the agency should have done. And because I paid cash, there was no way to get it taken off my rent.
Great house, but be prepared to wait a long time for essential repairs.
The agency can take as long as they want to fix essential equipment but will write up a eviction notice asap for being late on rent. The patience does not swing both ways unfortunately.
