Current Resident

I’m extremely disappointed in how my apartment complex handled a towing incident that cost me $439.77. I’ve been a resident here for nearly two years, always paid rent on time, and followed the rules.
A few weeks ago, my car was towed from a spot that was not clearly marked as reserved. The sign indicating it was off-limits was poorly placed and not visible from where I entered or parked. I had no reason to believe I was in violation. My car was towed within 2.5 hours, with no attempt to notify me, and I was stuck paying nearly $440 to get it back.
I contacted management, submitted photo evidence, and they admitted that a new, more visible sign was added after my car was towed — essentially acknowledging that the original signage was inadequate. Even the tow truck driver told me several other residents had been towed from that exact spot recently, which just reinforces the issue.
Despite all of this, management only offered $100 back and refused to credit or refund the full amount. Their response felt cold and generic. I explained how significant this expense was to me — and how unfair it felt to be punished for unclear signage — but no meaningful accountability was taken.
I once believed this complex valued its residents. Unfortunately, this incident proved otherwise.
