Since living here, there have been ongoing habitability issues, to say the least. These aren’t small inconveniences. They’ve affected us mentally and physically, in a place that’s supposed to feel safe and like home.
Contractors have been in and out sometimes multiple days in a row for months. Debris has been left behind in shared yard like cigarette butts, plastic, broken glass, and recently a rusted razor blade. That’s concerning, especially with families and many pets around.
Maintenance communication has been inconsistent. There have been multiple times work happened without notice. When I’ve tried to speak up about concerns, it has sometimes felt like the response was retaliation or exaggerated write-ups instead of resolution which I have never experienced anywhere else we have lived. That has been really discouraging.
I’m not trying to complain just to complain, I feel that inspections and unit turnover proces needs to be more thorough and accurate so that when someone moves in, the unit is truly ready and safe. A unit shouldn't be something that continues to need constant work, repairs and replacements for months afterward.
The Imagine Housing website mentions supportive services and case management, but in reality that support hasn’t felt present or accessible.
I’m not writing this to attack anyone. I genuinely hoped for stable, and safe housing. I believe residents deserve to feel safe in their homes and confident that concerns will be handled with care and consistency. I’m a very kind and easygoing person, but lately I feel more like a nuisance to management and eployees rather than a resident simply asking for a reliable home. Since being part of Imagine Housing, my life has felt flipped upside down.
I hope someone takes the time to look deeper into what’s happening and with honest inspections at this property, as well as all the other properties.
