Fairfax Drive Apartments

Been living here for about 4 months now. Staff is good, No amenities, but that's not what you're here for. My biggest and only gripe are the amount of mosquitos, gnats, and flies that appear in the apartment. I purchased a dehumidifier, a fan to better circulate the air, used the home remedy to get rid of flies in the drains, and currently have a blue light sticky trap that has more than paid for itself. The A/C units are enough brown noise to take you to sleep at night. Not fun when watching a movie as when they activate, it drowns out your television. Outside of those issues, a quality building.

Pros: 1. 15-minute walk to Ballston Metro station, so you have a lot of public transit options. 2. Bluemont neighborhood is nice and quiet despite being right next to Ballston. 3. The maintenance staff is quick to respond to any issues. 4. The unit is overall in good condition and all the appliances work well. Can't ask a whole lot more than that for the price. Cons: 1. Not enough parking space at times. 2. Pretty barebones in terms of amenities, but you get what you paid for here. 3. Need Arlington County parking permits to park on the street. Wish the management would make that clear for new residents who are new to the state.
