Aura Beacon Island

We’ve lived here for 2 years. The last year we have seen a huge decline in overall quality of the property. For being marketed as a “Luxurious Lakeside Living” apartment complex, these are no longer luxury. And not worth nearly double the price of other comparable complexes in the area. There is barely any maintenance to the appearance of buildings. There needs to be a fresh coat of paint to the hallways and they need to be cleaned more regularly. The landscaping around the apartment buildings have been left to die after rain and freezes, and have never been freshly replanted. The only landscaping that they care about maintaining are in front of the clubhouse and leasing office to impress potential residence. The amenities are not maintained as they used to be either. The pool is no longer sanitary or cleaned on a regular basis. Just more chemicals are added to the point that the pool is completely cloudy. Unlike when we first moved in, we saw that it was cleaned multiple times a week and crystal clear. The gym is never stocked with towels or wipes anymore. We also moved in believing it was a gated facility. However, the gates are never closed during the day and we have had things stolen from our vehicles. We loved living here the first year but after our lease renewal, and the continued quality decline, we will not renew again if improvements aren’t made.
