Mountain Village Apts.

I've been a Mountain Village resident for a little over a year now and my stay here has been generally positive. Mountain Village is a remarkably safe, family friendly apartment complex that is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The inner and outer-unit amenities make it well worth the money, such as a nice courtyard pool, workout room, and usually, a parking spot relatively close to units. The surrounding area is equally as nice and remarkably walkable. The maintenance team works lightning quick and the management team is equally as responsive. My stay here has been close to perfect, but there were a flew flaws--some related to the construction of the unit or noise mitigation and some pertaining to management policy. I've noticed that the leveling of the second floor (and the ceiling in the living room for what that's worth) is off. Not a huge deal, but it makes balancing things like dressers or stand-up cabinets a slight challenge and will cause furniture to perpetually lean minutely if placed in certain spots. The stairs leading up the second floor also feel... unusual. Noise mitigation is impeccable, but where there's glass, a great deal of sound will permeate. It creates a weird contrast where the apartment is dead-quiet except for anywhere there's glass and suddenly you can hear a whole bunch of noise outside the apartment. My last complaint pertains to policy: management is opposed to deck covers. I don't think this is much of a problem for the majority of units but if yours is exposesd to more public parts of the apartment complex, it can feel uncomfortable relaxing on your balcony for extended periods of time without there being some kind of visual partition. Overall, Mountain Village is a fantastic apartment complex. It's the most secure place I've ever lived in my life. But small touches here and there hold it back from being absolutely perfect and a place I would recommend to anyone without reservation.

My wife and I have had an amazing experience. Especially with the management team and maintenance. They are on top of everything and make you feel very at home. We are renewing for another year because it has been so enjoyable. Great location and amenities. They are so fast with maintenance, literally working on it the day of and will even call you back to see if there is anything else you need.

Apartment is old but it has new paint and new carpet. My apartment smelled funky the whole time. Anytime you cook the exhaust fan just circulated the smoke. There was water damaged they fixed but the smell is still here. Most doors stick from layers of paint, and the stove was supper uneven. I only needed the apartment for a few months so it worked for us. Price was ok even for short terms. Neighbors were friendly. Pet friendly. AC/ and heater worked fine.
