Current Resident

I’m still a current resident here, and I’ve been hesitant to write a review out of fear of retaliation from the office staff — which should tell you plenty.
I moved in at the end of March, and it has been nothing but headaches, incompetence, and frustration.
The first problem: within the first week, an overwhelming smoke smell from another unit seeped into mine — especially into my daughter’s room, to the point where her clothes smelled like smoke. I immediately informed the office, and instead of resolving it, they made excuses and did nothing. Because I kept pressing for a solution, I firmly believe they began retaliating.
The second, far worse problem: in June, I noticed a major leak in the living room. I submitted a maintenance request, which was closed without any work being done. The leak continued, and mold began to grow. By August, another leak appeared in the bedroom.
Only then did they send someone to “fix” the living room. By then, black mold was already exposed as paint bubbled and peeled away. Their solution? Paint over it.
I explained that I’ve gotten extremely sick from mold exposure before, and begged them to call a licensed specialist. Instead, they refused and told me they would “spray it” with a product labeled only for non-porous surfaces (drywall and wood are porous).
It got worse. They sent unlicensed workers who cut large holes in my walls, exposed even more mold, and left it uncovered — contaminating my belongings and putting my health at risk.
After weeks of emails, they finally sent another contractor, who admitted the scope was extensive and said I needed to vacate immediately.
So they relocated me — to a unit 20% smaller, with no apology — and then told me I would need to pay rent on both units, plus new fees that should have transferred. I broke down the math for them and they’re still fighting me. They refuse to explain charges in writing and won’t respond to my emails.
