Current Resident

I have now been a resident of the McKenzie for 2 1/2 years, and t I have never experienced anything other than attentive, helpful service-oriented staff, at all levels, from the valets to the concierge, the leasing director and the building manager.
My visiting friends are always amazed at the quality of the amenities, and especially the public areas on the first and third floors. This feels much more like an botique hotel than an apartment building.
I have lived in luxury high rise buildings for over 25 years, in San Diego and Dallas. The McKenzie is right up at the top of my list.
A special factor here is the sense of community I live alone, and the delightful neighborhood feel of the McKenzie keeps me from ever feeling lonely. I have lived in high rise luxury buildings where nobody knew anybody. That's not the case here. In particular, the Apartment Life staff, Sam and Tammy, host fun community events several times a month which draw large cheerful groups of residents together in our shared entertainment spaces or by the pool. Fourth of July or Superbowl, Christmas or NCAA finals, any of these will find fifty or more neighbors gathering festively. And then there are Sam's remarkably popular art lessons and poolside BBQ.
I consider myself fortunate to live here at the McKenzie. It is not inexpensive, but this is a perfect example of getting what you pay for - and more.
