Overall, living at Hot Metal Flats was great! The staff was amazing and its location in South Side was perfect. However, living next to the train tracks was often a nuisance, especially at night because of the noise. Even with the windows closed, the sound of the train was extremely loud and disruptive every night. We also had to move out of our apartment for two months while repairs were made to our unit. The timing of our displacement indicated that management was aware of the fact we would need to move out for construction at the time we signed our lease, but did not disclose that information to us until after we signed our lease, which felt slightly deceptive. All in all, I would recommend Hot Metal Flats for the great staff, prime location, and amenities.

I came to Pittsburgh a year ago and had to find an apartment in a short amount of time. Madison showed me around the property and immediately made me feel like this was the right place for me. She was helpful and very friendly and personable! Since living here, I haven't really had any issues. I think some updates could be done to the kitchen because my fire alarm goes off every time I set heat it past 400 lol. But besides that, this was the best place I could have lived in to start my journey in Pitt.
