We have been here 3 years. It's very safe and comfortable. We enjoy the pool and walking the beautiful grounds. We love the location- walking distance to great restaurants and behind us is Lehigh University's cross country track which is lovely to walk, close to shops, downtown Hellertown and Bethlehem, the rail trail etc. Annual rate increases are fair. The staff is wonderful, most have been here a few years and are extremely helpful and friendly. Maintenance responds promptly. Utilities are low since it is such a well built building. All the people that live here seem very nice. It is pet friendly with it's own private dog park run- there must be 50-100 dogs here and I'm amazed how quiet it is. If I hear one or 2 woofs a day that's it. Everyone takes impeccable care of their pets and clean up right away. You can hear footsteps/creaks on the ceiling above when people walk and there is a little hallway noise when neighbors come home but nothing loud or unexpected for apartment living. Perhaps we are lucky and have not had loud neighbors (though there have been a few different ones over the years) and we have not had any noise issues. Cost wise it is on the median high side but for the grounds, location, great staff and amenities and safety of the area for us, it is well worth the cost. Maintenance requests are taken care of very quickly and they update the apt as necessary, check filters etc. The only thing I'd say is the the model apartments you tour are a little nicer and show more luxury appliances than what we have in our apartment. Our fridge is smaller than what we were shown and washer dryer are basic models though were put in new before we moved in. The carpet is new but not as plush to walk on and the overhead lighting isn't as bright. However we are very happy and comfortable here and plan to continue to renew our lease.
