Former Resident

The Hendry starts off looking like a decent place to live. Minor issues like dog waste not being cleaned up and occasional door malfunctions are fairly common and manageable at first.
However, the quality of the community has noticeably declined over time, especially after several changes in management. The gates are frequently broken, making the "gated community" claim pretty meaningless. There have also been multiple instances of car break-ins, raising serious concerns about security.
The biggest issue seems to come at move-out. Many former residents, regardless of how well they maintained their unit, report not receiving their security deposits back. Charges often feel excessive and poorly justified.
Overall, while The Hendry might seem like a good option at first glance, the long-term experience—especially related to safety and the move-out process—leaves a lot to be desired. Proceed with caution and document everything.
** Update: Following the management’s response to my initial review, I took the time to reach out via the email address they provided in hopes of having a conversation about my experience living at the property. It’s now been over a week, and I have yet to receive any kind of acknowledgment or response.
This lack of follow up is disappointing, especially after being encouraged to contact them directly. It gives the impression that the response to my review was more about maintaining a positive public image rather than a sincere attempt to address the issues I faced. Issues that included concerns about safety and unfair move-out charges.
I had hoped that new management would take accountability and show a genuine interest in making things right, but the silence has only reaffirmed the sense that residents' voices are not truly heard or valued once they move out.**
