DVORA Hamilton House

I highly recommend DVORA Hamilton House to anyone who values attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and genuinely warm, professional service. The sense of community here is exceptional. Everyone, from the concierge team to the Cargo staff (their package-to-your-door delivery service), is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The concierge team greets residents with a smile, opens the doors for you, and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes coming home feel special every day. They truly make you feel at home. A special shoutout to Lazaro, who leads the Cargo team. He is always positive, energetic, and incredibly helpful. The cleaning staff also does an outstanding job keeping the building spotless, including the common areas and even the refuse room, which is something many buildings overlook. Before moving in, I noticed some negative reviews about the amenity fees and services, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Features like in-unit package delivery and the gym reservation system make everyday life much more convenient and organized. As someone who shops online frequently and receives packages almost daily, these services have been a huge benefit. I've also seen reviews mentioning train noise. I imagine that depends on the location of the unit, but in my apartment, it's barely noticeable with the windows closed. Since Hamilton House is a very family-friendly community, you'll occasionally hear children playing or babies crying, but that's simply part of apartment living. To me, it reflects that families feel comfortable and safe living here. While it's about a 20–25 minute walk to the PATH station, it's less than a 10-minute bike or e-scooter ride. Being close to beautiful Hamilton Park, one of Jersey City's nicest residential neighborhoods, more than makes up for the slightly longer walk to public transportation.

Staff are wonderful, but we’ve had problems since moving in. Some resolves, while others still unresolved. It was not disclosed to us at the time of move in that a ballroom dance studio occupied the commercial space directly below our unit. There is no soundproofing between units so for the past 4 months we’ve been receiving complimentary dance lessons by way of our ventilation systems. On top of it all, we found out our unit was previously vacant and the show unit for prospective tenants. This meant all appliances needed to he replaced during the first month of us living here given their infrequent use at the time.
