We’re moving out of this complex before our lease ends because of one major issue: there is essentially no soundproofing between floors. Every step, voice, and dropped object from the unit above echoes through our apartment. It’s not occasional noise—it’s constant, and it’s made daily life here exhausting. This isn’t a case of loud neighbors. It’s a structural problem. The buildings look modern and clean, but they weren’t built for comfort or long-term living. Even with white noise machines and background sound, the noise has been unmanageable. We raised the issue with management early on. While they were polite and responsive, the underlying problem hasn’t been addressed. Instead of fixing the issue, they’ve cycled through residents above us, labeling it a “noise complaint” issue rather than acknowledging the flawed construction. The rest of the complex looks good on the surface, but there are other signs of shortcuts—cracking sidewalks, scattered amenities, and a layout that prioritizes density over livability. Maintenance is quick, and the staff is kind, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that we never truly felt at home here. If you’re still interested in living here, ask to tour a second-floor unit while someone is home in the unit above. It’s the only way to get an honest sense of the daily experience. We’re leaving early because we value peace, comfort, and being able to relax in our own home. Unfortunately, that was never possible here.
