Lived in property for a full year and only renewed because we love the location. Capitol Villas does not prioritize us whatsoever, work order got fulfilled an entire calendar year after we submitted it. In March we received a letter on our door notifying us about rent and if we were late it would be a $50 late fee. One roommates payment did not go through and we received a $500 late fee. When we brought it to Capitol Villa's attention they informed us the written statement they gave us was wrong. Extremely disrespectful way to treat residents. We know they don't actually care at all so saying anything is pointless. This company does not value their residents.

The only positive about renting from DTN was the maintenance crew. They were extremely kind, attentive, and understanding about the lack of help from DTN itself. They additionally went above and beyond trying to find solutions when we had issues, even when it was out of their hands and they were severely understaffed they offered help as best as they could, which will forever be appreciated. Our rent price increased without warning, one rent payment day was changed without notice and we were fined for the "late" payment. Customer support is basically nonexistent; the only thing they will help with is making sure they get their $. The location is good, but basically everything else is not. The basement was grossly unfinished and in disarray, and we have had to make do the entirety of living here, while also dealing with barely functional heating and cracks under the doors/windows.
