Shoreview Apartments

I've lived here for just over a year now and have loved it. It is a beautiful location right on the river and has a 2.5mi running trail starting right outside my door. The maintenance workers respond promptly and are always kind and efficient. It is also a pet friendly complex and a great place to live with my dog!

I may be one of the longest continuous tenants, having been here since 2004. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the Downtown, Kerrytown and the Farmers Market, Plymouth Rd. shopping, and most importantly for most of the tenants, the North Campus. The U. of M. Hospital is also right down the road. There are two bus routes that go right by Shoreview and that will connect you to most anywhere, whether you have a car or not (I don't). Most of the tenants are graduate students or Post- Docs and by nature will only stay a few years at best. Every year there is a new crop of tenants. It can be hard to make friends here, but most people are friendly if you make an effort to know them. The Staff is quite responsive and will send out email notices about problems that occur. Kellogg St. is a bit of a mess. There is parking on both sides of the street, it is badly in need of repair, and in winter it is treacherous. On the whole I have been extremely happy here, and have seen many changes in Management and Staff, all of whom have been devoted to the welfare of the tenants. My rent, unfortunately, has nearly doubled in the time I have been here. I hate to move, so I have put up with this. Inflation, unfortunately, happens. Any prospective resident would find Shoreview a very pleasant place to live, for whatever length of time.
