4.5 Fabulous 17 Reviews only 17 reviews???????? ?? I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of consumer reviews submitted through the RentCafe platform. I have submitted multiple reviews describing my personal experiences with apartment communities listed on RentCafe. Those reviews were truthful, based entirely on my firsthand experience, and submitted in good faith. However, they have repeatedly not been published. As a consumer, I find this deeply concerning. Online review platforms exist so prospective renters can make informed housing decisions based on the full spectrum of customer experiences. When legitimate consumer reviews are not published, it raises serious questions regarding the transparency and integrity of the review process. For that reason, I am now preserving screenshots, submission records, and copies of every review I submit through your platform, including instances where those reviews are not published. This documentation is being retained as part of my records.

My experience with RentCafe has raised serious concerns about the integrity of its review platform. After what I believe was discriminatory treatment during my apartment application process, I submitted reviews describing my experience with the property management company. Those reviews were repeatedly removed or never published, despite being based on my personal experience. As a consumer, this left me questioning whether RentCafe’s primary commitment is to prospective renters or to the property managers and owners who advertise on its platform. When legitimate negative experiences are filtered out, consumers may be prevented from seeing a complete and balanced picture before making important housing decisions. Reviews are meant to inform the public—not just highlight positive experiences. If unfavorable but genuine customer experiences are consistently rejected, the credibility of the entire review system is undermined. Based on my experience, I no longer have confidence that RentCafe provides a transparent or balanced platform for consumer feedback. I will be preserving documentation of my review submissions and the moderation process as part of the concerns I am raising through the appropriate channels. Consumers deserve transparency, not selective moderation that may leave them with an incomplete picture of a property’s management and leasing practices.
