Waters Edge is a nice place to live. This is a working class neighborhood at the dead end of a pleasant south Lakeland neighborhood. The chain of lakes bike path continues through the neighborhood to a nearby park, which makes for great walking/running/biking. The new management has been very communicative and friendly, with maintenance requests being fulfilled quickly by the rockstar maintenance staff. If there was a pool / gym area, I could see myself living here for years to come. Overall, this is a safe area with many families in a centrally located area to groceries and great south Lakeland parks. Lake Hollingsworth is just over a mile down the road, and downtown takes about twelve minutes. Access to the Polk Parkway is under five minutes away, which makes Lakeside Village, Target, and Walmart easily acessible - as well as easy travel to Winter Haven/Orlando/Tampa.
The units are pretty quiet and made from concrete, so you dont hear your neighbors during normal day to day living which is a plus. With the Parkway being in our backyard, you will get occasional city noise (emergency sirens). The bike path is regularly host to early morning 5k runs, which doesnt bother me particularly, but as someone who works nights - I have been woken up by the hundreds of runners before. Given the location and good property management who has a finger on the pulse of the community, Waters Edge is a nice place to live.
