Hayworth Apartments

I’ve been living here for over a decade and absolutely love it! The neighbors are incredibly friendly, and the location is fantastic. You can easily walk to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, as well as numerous bars and restaurants. The management is attentive to any needs and always easy to reach out to.

Moved here recently, Summer and Joel have been very helpful so far and able to fix nearly all the issues I encountered after moving-in. My only concern at the moment, is that I have noticed that every night a few people (likely homeless individuals) install their things right under my windows (in the little alley where the meters are - between my apartment and the trash bins of the apartment complex next door). I've also noticed that they are using one of the outlet located right in front of my apartment (outside) to charge/use their electronics (not sure who is paying for the electricity they are using in this case...). So far they are not making excessive noise and it looks like they leave as soon as the sun rises + I didn't notice any break-in attempts. What I am mostly scared of, is the potential risk of fire, as they are smoking outside right next to trees - I've noticed a lot of cigarettes on the ground (one cigarette not fully extinguished would be enough to start a fire). In addition to that, as you know I am originally from France and I am about to go back there for a few weeks for the holidays + I regularly travel for extended period of time during the year - so I am a bit scared that other individuals noticed that no one is in the apartment, which might attract other people to start camping in the alley. Do you think there would be a way to restrict access to this alley (which is currently easily accessible from my apartment or the apartment complex next door)?
