Living at Cassiar has been a positive experience overall. The sense of community here is amazing — it truly feels like a family. The tenants look out for one another, and that makes this a great place to live.
Dino and Besara are wonderful. They genuinely care about the tenants, respond when needed, and do a great job choosing respectful people to live here. Their efforts make a big difference in creating a welcoming environment.
That said, there are a few ongoing issues that could be improved. The contractors hired for building work often leave behind a mess instead of cleaning up properly after themselves. After the recent power washing, tenants were left scrubbing dirt off doors and windows themselves. I was home during the work and even had to ask them to come back and clean up the mess they made.
The laundry room is another concern. The machines need to be professionally cleaned because they have a strong smell, and there are not enough machines for the number of tenants in the building. It also seems like there is almost always at least one machine out of service, which makes it even harder for residents.
Another major issue is the windows in my suite. They really need upgrading. During the winter, the heat does not stay in because the windows are so poor, and I constantly struggle with mold buildup from condensation. It is difficult to keep up with cleaning it, and better windows would make a huge difference for both comfort and health. The back screen door scares me. as a single women im afraid anyone can easily break that window. The double lock at the bottom doesnt work and the door opens outwards so i cant even block the door from being opened.
Overall, Cassiar is still a great place to live because of the people and the community here. With better contractor cleanup, improved laundry facilities, and upgraded windows, it would be an even better place for tenants to call home.
