Simmons Ridge

I have lived at Simmons Ridge since Nov 2023. The initial management team was exceptional. Recently a new management team took over. I placed a maintenance request because when I turned my light fixture on my (EXTERIOR) front porch on, BOTH bulbs were bright, however one was blinking rapidly. I have NEVER seen a light fixture cause the bulb to blink so I assumed there may be an electrical issue . Perhaps water may have seeped in from all of the rain. I was not about to get up on a ladder and risk electrocution so I placed a maintenance request which they CANCELED!!! Subsequently, I received a generic email notice telling me to review the maintenance policy and that I am responsible for changing bulbs.. $3,600 per month ( with amenities consisting of a pool and a playground) and I get a notice like this. I am furious! I have no problem changing a bulb myself or getting help from a friend to climb a ladder and change it, but if the bulb was lit, indicating the bulb was still good, in my mind, it is plausible the blinking could have been electrical. I can't understand why they would send me a generic email. At least have the courtesy to call and confirm it was not electrical instead of just cancelling the request. In the spirit of safety, perhaps you should give your residents the benefit of the doubt!!!! Regards!
