The location of the property is great. The neighbourhood is wonderful. However, if Firstkey doesn't want to maintain properties the proper way, then please just sell this home to a family that wants it and will actually take care of it. The leadership of FirstKey should be embarrassed by the bare minimum standards they have for maintenance. Every repair is done with subpar bare minimum effort. I'm not asking for upgrades or super nice finishes. But when your guys come to the house to do a repair, the repair should be done with some level of pride and recognition that people live here with their family. We had our daughter's bedroom door fixed since it wouldn't close properly. After the repair was "completed", the wall was left a mess, didn't even fix the baseboard to make sure it went to the door frame, and didn't even bother to caulk the nail holes. We also have a deck that is literally rotting. Instead of just replacing the deck (since it is clearly past its lifespan), we just put in a couple new boards and steps. It's absolutely absurd. We also have a water heater that is not installed to correct code that I've tried getting addressed since we moved in. Each time, a tech send pictures and messages to a supervisor but we never here anything back about it. Several windows don't open and close properly throuhought the home. The home has tons of potential to be a really comfortable place, but FirstKey just doesn't want to maintain anything.
