Going on our fourth year here at our Cherokee Overlook home, the rent is a bit high for my liking but in comparison to other homes it is still a decent value. Other than a few maintainence issues it's been pretty nice. The neighborhood is ok. The driveway is steep so it gets a little rough at times. I haven't had working air conditioning in 2 weeks despite my efforts to get someone out here. Another thing that has really made things rough is not being able to split my payments up. I’ve always paid my rent early but I’ve had some recent financial hardship which put me behind and caused me to be late the first time ever two months ago. They worked with me at first, but that changed very quickly. I understand they are running a business but stuff happens and sometimes people need help. i’ve tried to pay my rent for the last 3 1/2 weeks now and they wouldn’t allow me to pay last month without paying for this current month. The charges for this current month reflects in the balance due several days before the end of the previous month. They add the utilities, pet fees and rent for the next month a few days before as well, which made it nearly impossible for me to come up with right away . I have all my money now and can’t get anyone on the phone nor pay online. I would think someone with near perfect resident history would be valued more. $$$
