The same house build and/or size is available in several locations near where we are renting $400-550 dollars cheaper. There is no possible way to negotiate a price either, which is unfair given that a rental contract under law is considered a negotiable deal. There is no way that a loyal customer should be priced so high.

The home is good for a rental. A screened in lanai would have been nice. There are some neighbors with trucks and no mufflers who consistently race down the street and rev engines at any hour of the day or night but otherwise it’s a quiet and “safe” area for kids. The maintenance department has no routine maintenance plan, which kind of causes a problem for some things such as hvac. We recognize that air filters is ethically a responsibility for us but firstkey had not done any routine maintenance for 2 years. When the air conditioning stopped working, we had no service for 5 days. Eventually we used our brother in law, who cleaned the drain line out and instantly the unit kicked on. It took about ten minutes.... apparently the drain lines need serviced every 6 months. Also the fact that our newly offered rental agreement goes up approximately $100 every year is a slap in the face and a poor business decision. If we move out because of price increases, the time that the home would be vacant, even if only for one month, would completely negate the gains that FirstKey would make on the year from increase.
