Love the tall ceilings and descent sized rooms. Having a shower with a tall ceiling is nice so it doesn't get too crazy foggy while taking a longer shower. The view out the window towards I5 has grown on me. Its nice on that side of the building you can see the most beautiful sunsets due to the large in size and number windows that cover most of the south facing walls. Maintenance is usually pretty darn quick. I find calling the office is faster than emailing them most of the time, which is understandable as I can get buried in emails myself. There was a significant issue with the washing machine i didnt realize for several months that was causing the drum to shake really loudly when it was spinning, but was fixed quickly once reported. I've never had front load washer so I didnt know any better, but the drum was not fully secured. Heidi and dominic (managers) have both been great. The rent increase for the lease for year 2 is super reasonable, but I still may move to try to find a cheaper apartment to be able to keep more money in savings, but for a 2 bedroom apartment in the area and as nice as it is, the value beats out most places i could find in the area. I have two kids 6 and 7 that are always pitter pattering around and it;s tricky being on the secone floor as neighbors seem to get upset and somehow bang on their 12-13ft ceiling as a queue to keep it down. We aren't even been overly loud and its during non-quiet hours. I could understand being frustrated but also putting more padding or noise isolation below the flooring might have helped some of these issues. I work nights and have never heard a late night party or anything loud keeping me up at night. Neighbors seem mostly professional and respectable. I would definitely suggest this as a nice place to live, if you have kids, maybe try for the first floor.
