Friendly neighbors, Rent is affordable - biggest draw. Major plus -Mangement is excellent! Maintenance is excellent. Parking is good. Location depends on your individual needs. Bus station is less than a block away.
Gym is very close. Grocery shopping and schools are within about 3 miles. I like it!

We have been residents in Bellingham over 20 years now and around 7 years In Walton Place and it has had its ups and its downs you could say. We love the ability to walk to the beach, the co-op just up the hill, the many museums, the library, so much locally owned dining, the parks, downtown grocery stores and businesses. We also like that its so close to all the parade routes and the kids really love that. We also like how we are never more than a 5-15 minute drive away from any of the great local shopping centers, schools and doctors offices here in Bellingham. Our unit is both spacous and stylish, with lots of natural light from our large windows, and we love how you can smell the fresh ocean air when we air the house out. The club house and computer lab are always kept clean and tidy. We do have serious issues with getting restful sleep at night sometimes due to the nonstop noise from road traffic, transients from the local homeless shelter and the fire department being so close by, but thats just a part of city life. The electronic gated system makes us feel that we are safe and secure when we are in our home, and when walking through our building and our parkinglot. The parking space is limited but adequate and the staff does a great job of making sure friends and family arnt taking over the limited spaces in the parking lot. The staff does a good job of keeping the grounds clean and keeping litter and the dumpster area under control. The quailty of life renting here has been better than any experience we have had in Fairhaven, the Lettered streets or any other neighborhoods in Bellingham so far. The money we save in gas alone from the logistics of this location has made it so we can actually afford to save a bit of money for a rainy day. Its so nice to not have to drive half way across town to get groceries in a pinch. I just walk a block and a half to a nearby store and my shoppig is done.
