Current Resident

After one full year as a tenant, I can no longer recommend this community and would encourage prospective residents to carefully consider other options. Over the past year, there has been a noticeable decline in service and resident care.
The front office and maintenance staff are kind and respectful, and they are the only reason this review includes two stars. However, the larger issue appears to be property management and regional leadership, who seem largely indifferent to the resident experience.
Several serious issues remain unresolved:
• Cars have been damaged and stolen on the property, yet no communication was sent to residents. Transparency around safety concerns should be standard practice.
• Dog waste is consistently left throughout the property. Management’s response has been limited to sending notices. Notices are not enforcement.
• Speeding throughout the complex remains a safety concern, again addressed only with notices.
These concerns could be mitigated by installing security cameras, but management has refused to make that investment.
During the recent major snowstorm, parking spaces, common areas, and walkways were left covered in packed snow and ice. Aside from shoveling one disabled space and loading zone per building, residents waited nearly two and a half weeks for the sun to melt the rest. A professional service could have been hired to ensure safety.
Leadership appears more focused on presenting the clubhouse than addressing ongoing concerns from current residents. The clubhouse presents well, but it does not reflect the condition of the property as a whole. I encourage prospective residents to walk the entire property before making a decision.
The replacement of carpet with hard flooring in upper units has also significantly increased noise levels.
For transparency, I have retained documentation from resident emails.
We remain only due to a short-term lease extension. The property has potential, but Coastal Ridge needs to do better.
