MAA Haven at Blanco

Living here is nice, but "luxury" is a generous stretch. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and responsive. However, all kinds of things are left as-is until pointed out, or a maintenance request is created. General complex sanitation is okay, but not anywhere near what I'd expect when I hear the word "luxury". For example: there has been what appears to be a discarded, soiled baby wipe on one of the stairs since the day I moved in. It's not in the way but the litter, stains, and grime accumulate everywhere. There appears to be little regular maintenance (outside of trash/recycle collection) in terms of keeping shared spaces tidy. I believe the vast majority of sanitation efforts are focused on the central office building and nearby amenities (pool & gym). I don't expect things to be spotless and brand new, but I figure that if everyone is paying upwards of ~$1500/mo for "luxury", I shouldn't have had three months to borderline develop a mild emotional attachment to that familiar little poopy baby wipe that's been baking every afternoon for so long it's become sun bleached. Honestly, I'll almost miss it whenever it's gone one day, whether I pick it up or someone else does. That said, the smart home technology and in-unit appliances are all reliable, prompt, effective devices. Overall this is a nice place to live. Reasonably quiet with good action measures if you need to file a noise complaint for any reason. Parking is largely eaten up by all of the perpetually on-site maintenance service vehicles and covered parking you must pay for to use, most of which remain empty. If you aren't home before ~5pm, expect to be walking across the complex back to your own building. The community here is easy going, kind, and diverse.
