I've lived in Deco 969 for nearly 2 years and 1 thing is apparent, this is a land development company trying to run a service business.
The community is advertised as luxury, and while at first glance it seems to be, it is not, and it does not merit the price. The location and a few over-worked, under-appreciated front-line employees are the saving grace, but without those, this would be a hard pass.
Finishes and installs around the building look nice but are not truly high-end, i.e.: sagging cabinets, misaligned tiling and cabinetry, non-functional bathroom fixtures such as hand-towel racks that fall off the wall every time you use the towel.
Amenities that were promised during tours were never delivered, such as the infrared sauna.
Other basic amenities that were included when leases were signed have since been removed - even something as basic as guest parking - and soon the bike repair room, which is to be converted to a staff meeting room.
Community activities are often announced at the last minute, typically insufficient to accommodate even half of the community, and most often left on the shoulders of 1 employee to execute, (usually while they're still expected to conduct their regular duties). I have seen management's involvement at only 1 of these events and it was mingling, not helping.
Multiple requests to be provided contact information for someone at corporate to share this feedback have been ignored.
Deco desperately needs some competition downtown so they can be forced to either reduce their rates or level up their product.
