? 1 Star I've lived at Mount Vernon for about a year and a half, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. First, don't expect to see your actual apartment before move-in day. Communication and transparency throughout the leasing process were lacking from the start. The property itself looks nice on the surface, but there have been ongoing issues. The water has been discolored/yellow at times, and power outages seem to happen more often than they should. On top of that, the office staff is consistently unhelpful and unresponsive. Many times it feels like no one knows what is going on or is willing to take ownership of resident concerns. I've had a parking reservation request pending since the day I moved in. Despite multiple follow-ups, including visiting the office in person, I continue to get the same response: "We're working on it." A year and a half later, there has still been no update or resolution. Another issue was being charged $50 for renter's insurance even though I had active coverage and provided proof of insurance. When I brought this to management's attention, I was simply told there was nothing they could do about it. No refund, no effort to correct the mistake, just a dismissal of the issue. The one bright spot is the maintenance team. They are professional, responsive, and consistently do a great job. Maintenance requests are usually handled quickly, and they deserve recognition for their work. Overall, the property looks nice, but the office management and resident support are some of the worst I've experienced. If you value communication, accountability, and customer service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
