If you’re considering moving to Lakeland Town Square Apartments, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
This complex lacks integrity and basic amenities that should be standard in a so-called “luxury apartment.” There are no elevators, no pantry, and no garbage disposal. The walls are thin, and noise from neighbors is a frequent issue—something even my children have noticed.
I asked to renew my lease at the rate of $1,580, which was publicly listed on their website. It took four days for management to respond, only to say that the rate was no longer available due to a market change. I believe the delay was intentional, and it felt like a tactic to increase rent for profit, rather than provide fair customer service.
There are many other issues that make living here frustrating:
• Parking is often unavailable to residents during events at nearby bars.
• Trash pickup is inconsistent, even though we’re charged monthly for a “concierge” service.
• Water pressure is low, and the mail/package system is disorganized—packages are left in open areas, and it often takes a long time to find them, if they’re not already missing.
• Stairs only make grocery trips difficult, especially for residents on higher floors.
• Doors are poorly sealed, causing heating and cooling inefficiencies.
• The Wi-Fi service is mandatory and expensive, with no option to choose your own provider.
For the price, this complex does not offer the quality or experience it promises. There are many better options in the area that provide actual value and respect for tenants.
