Walnut Square Apartments

I moved here because it was a great location and I didn't know Philly yet. Have stayed because of the great staff, they're caring and responsive and professional. The apartment is a good value, particularly in the location, and while I'd love more amenities it's a worthwhile trade off.

After a month here the people are friendly and helpful. The building is well maintained though wish the repairs to the second elevator be completed to make it easier for everyone to come and go with two working elevators. Overall, a good first month and looking forward to what the rest of my time here will bring.

Tracey and Jen have been really great, and the maintenance team as well. Everyone has been friendly, and the convenience to everything has been great. Parking is difficult, especially since all of the parking garages in the area are more expensive than other areas a few blocks away. But this was expected living in the city. My biggest issue is the noise from Woody's bar across the street. The building has very poor soundproofing, and you can hear the music very clearly with the windows closed. I did expect some noise from the club (people leaving at closing, cars driving, normal city volume, etc), but this is a bit excessive, especially when they are having events outside and the speakers are turned to max volume. The windows do vibrate from the force of the speakers, and even with noise reducing headphones you can still hear the DJs and microphones clearly as if I was outside, and this is for events inside and outside. The club makes it impossible to enjoy the apartment, especially for the money I am paying to live here. This is a huge deterrent and likely why I would not consider staying here longer than the current lease terms.

I have been a tenant for a decade. The staff is courteous, but not always as responsive as desired. The holiday decorations are superb, but they lack sensensitivity to marginalized ethnicities. There also seems to be a recurring plumbing problem. I hope it can be fixed sooner than later.
