Current Resident

I have been a resident at The Denizen for over two years and have recommended multiple people to this building. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so.
Prior to Greystar management and before Carter Paulus (aside from Jihan), management was rarely on-site and difficult to reach. The gym mirror was cracked, trash chute doors were constantly broken, and the building felt like it was falling apart.
As someone who has worked in customer service and lived in many buildings, what Carter has done for The Denizen has not gone unnoticed. I had a major noise issue from the unit above me that went unresolved for over six months under prior management. Carter and his team treated the issue with respect and urgency. He was diligent, thorough, kind, professional, and reliable. He listens and finds real solutions, he doesn’t just offer lip service.
Since Carter’s arrival, the building has noticeably improved. The gym mirror was fixed, walls painted, floors repaired, and the rooftop fire pits repaired. New plants were added throughout the property. There used to be a strong odor from animals near the entrance that was honestly embarrassing when having guests over. Carter solved this by adding small fences to protect the plants, and the difference has been incredible, no smell and a much more welcoming environment.
Communication has greatly improved. We now receive consistent building and neighborhood updates, elevator issues are addressed immediately, and community events are being organized.
Carter is the first one in the morning and the last one to leave. I have personally seen him working long hours and truly being present for residents. He's honest, straightforward, even-keeled, extremely knowledgeable, and speaks eloquently. He isn’t pushy, and he takes everyone seriously. He is a rare find in property management.
The building has improved in every way since Carter has been here, and it finally feels like a place that is cared for.
