The Strauss on Burnside

I love living at the Strauss. The neighbors are friendly and warm. The staff are helpful and hardworking. The common areas are pleasant and clean. I have no complaints, except I wish parking were easier.

So far ive really enjoyed living at the strauss. The staff are always very punctual in reponses to issues/queations and always provide good service. The best thing about living here us how well the building seems to be constructed. I have rarely heard any noise coming from my neighbors apartments (this has not been my experience in other places ive lived) The walls have done a great job at canceling out noise. Overall I would definitely recommend living here

Great location, easy walkability/proximity to transit. Apartments are cute, have AC, and are a decent size for cost. I wish there were more openable windows overall, for better ventilation (esp bedrooms), but south-facing view is great regardless. Parking is a small garage beneath the building; it's pricy for a spot, IF one is available and IF you're not too far down the waitlist. We no longer have a car so we can't speak much to street parking but most available to-rent parking near the building is open lots, not enclosed garages. I think there might be 2 garages in proximity but not sure their fees. Noise is almost only street noise, sometimes noise from neighboring balconies but not often and not that loud (in our experience). We rarely hear anything from neighboring apartments through the walls, but we're top floor so can't speak to sound from upstairs neighbors. I will say you can definitely smell what your neighbors are cooking (or burning, or smoking despite that not being allowed), but not so much to be disruptive (unless it sets off the sensitive fire alarms). We've not had any issues with rent payment, lease renewal, or the move-in process. Overall, really easy, comfy, convenient place to live, featuring a bike room, mail boxes & lockers, rooftop lounge, and small gym.

I've lived in the Strauss on Burnside for nearly two years now. It's so much better than my old place. Modern appliances, adept and prompt maintenance, staff that actually cares, and an over all sense of security and safety.
