Cardinal point is the nicest apartment complex I have lived in while living in Grand Forks, but I have been let down. The SW water heater has been down multiple times since my moving here 8 months ago, my dishwasher was either left in disarray by the previous tenant or never worked that well to begin with, the ceiling in my room has multiple stains left by the previous tenant not cleaned before I moved in, the AC unit in my room has no remote, our fridge had to be replaced, two bedrooms are on the same circuit (15 amps) and have more outlets combined than the amperage could ever cover - I understand that may be up to code, but it is inconvenient given the cost of renting here - breakers that are not wired to the circuit mentioned trip at least a few times a week. That being said, my unit in particular was in shambles when my roommate's and I did our walk through, and issues like not having enough amperage are never going to be changed so we will have to live with it. This is not a cheap area to live in, and not a cheap complex to live in; my expectations were higher when I moved in. I am pleased with the diligence of the maintenance staff and staff in general. Everyone has been pleasant to work with, helpful, and understanding. The care provided, regardless of the buildings standards/condition, has been outstanding.
