Note: I have only been here for a couple of days, so these ratings are subject to change. Overall, the apartment is solid. Hopefully I will remember to come back and edit my review once I have more experience.
Pros: The lighting is one of the best aspects of the apartment, with lots of windows for natural lighting, but also with plenty of overhead lighting so floor lamps aren't needed. The location is also standout as it is an easy walk to WashU's Danforth campus, forest park, and (a longer walk) to the loop.
Cons: The price; I have seen similar (or better) apartments for significantly cheaper if one goes further away from campus. Also, the apartment has somewhat noisy appliances. The overhead fans hum rather loudly, to the point I don't plan on using them, and wouldn't turn them on if someone were going to sleep, and the fridge is louder than some that I have had before. But the neighbors and neighborhood are quiet.
In the air: When I moved in, the fridge did not work, the oven didn't have drip pans, and two lightbulbs were burnt out. When I submitted maintenance requests, they were promptly dealt with, but the maintenance guy did say they were supposed to check the fridge before I moved in. We shall see if that was a simple oversight, or indicative of how maintenance is handled.
