I've lived here 2 years and I fall more in love with this place everyday. While it doesn't have the curbside glamour of the Arrive Wheaton, I think Metropoint far surpasses it in every way. Having direct access to the alley in the back is convenient for getting to the metro or taking the tunnel (a way to cross Georgia Avenue into Downtown without interacting with cars!). The back alley also provides a beautiful reprise from all the urbanity with its trees and greenery. Nothing like sitting on a bench out there on a sunny summer afternoon. Being right on top of the metro has huge perks too. You never have to go outside to access the metro if you don't want to. There are many ways to get there from inside and outside the building. Taking the metro for work or leisure is possible in any weather condition at metropointe. Also the convenience of wheaton is exceptional. Its truly like an urban oasis in a desert of suburbs. Everything is so close by here that its almost inconvenient to get into a car for most everything except costco shopping trips. There's so many local and national businesses here that you'll rarely be pressed to go somewhere else for your day to day needs. Most things are within a 10 minute walk. Everything is within 20 minutes of walking. but the best thing of all, the grocery store is 2 minutes of walking away. It might be a bit pricier than your typical Safeway but its doesn't get more convenient than that! Of course, savings has never been easier in wheaton with a car. There's an aldi down the road, and H mart up the street, and a trader joes just a lil bit aways. Being located just north of the beltway is a sweet deal too. Traffic on it might always suck but you need it anytime you try to go anywhere in virginia, DC, or maryland so it helps to have it right there but far enough to not be breathing in all those fumes. Truly a hidden gem of the DMV area.
