Village Lake Apartments

I have been living here now for more than 2yrs. Rent increases significantly every lease without any service changes to apartments or building. There is no repair for wear and tear of carpet, walls and flooring when lease is renewed. Neither any changes to parking lor or building exterior despite increments in rent. Most of the elderly are calm but there are young crowd always smoking at back stairs and smell is disgusting. The front entrance has no new couch or good chairs to sit and talk with neighbours.

Parking is Ehhhhh but i underdtand. I dont wang them to enforce towing so i guess i will deal with it. You can hear everything in the building and in everything apartment it’s understandable the building is old. I do appreciate and like thag its a clean uo crew every moring cleaning the hallways and elevator. Will work for right now.

My overall experience has been good with a few bumps on the road. For an example: comjng home from a long day of work just to find out the gate not working so you can park your car. This happens periodically throughout the few years of being here. I’ve encountered rude staff, maybe twice. The last time back in 2023 there was a power outage and i called the matienance. The lady was very rude to me all because I asked if I can be notified when the power would be cut back on. I was concerned for my food because i had just went grocery shopping. So I called to report the lady who was rude over the phone and this lady who was listening to my complaint showed so much compassion and even followed up with another call, just to tell me that the situation has been handled and I appreciated that so much becuase the lady was able to listen to the recorded phone call and heard how rude that person was to me so shout out to the staff member who helped me. I guess whoever was the rude person, she was from a third party company. Overall like i said there has been a few bumps on the road living here bit dont get me wrong, i do like living here.
