Powder Mill Village

We are new to this community and were initially very excited about our apartment. The units themselves are beautiful, modern, and spacious, which we truly appreciate. However, our overall experience has been significantly impacted by the lack of air conditioning. As we are entering the summer season, outdoor temperatures have already reached 80 degrees, and the temperature inside our unit reflects that—even with the thermostat turned off. We have been informed that the AC will not be available until close to June, which is concerning and uncomfortable. This policy does not seem to take into consideration the well-being of residents, especially infants, toddlers, elderly individuals, and pets who are more vulnerable to heat. When temperatures rise to this level, access to air conditioning should be based on actual weather conditions, not a fixed calendar date. At this point, the heat inside our apartment has made it difficult to feel comfortable in our own home. It is disappointing that instead of enjoying our first apartment, we often find ourselves leaving just to cool down elsewhere. We strongly encourage management to reconsider this approach and implement a more flexible system for activating air conditioning based on outdoor temperatures, so residents can maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
